While this is the best deal on an Canon re-manufactured cartridge I could find, it does suffer the same problem as any other I've tried -- the Canon printer uses a chip inside the cartridge to track ink levels, and once it has run out it continues to read as empty. However, this does seem to be a full cartridge, you just won't be able to use the printer's remaining ink notifiers. Not a huge deal to me, but it is significant nonetheless.

I had one cartridge left. I needed ink. I contacted you and bought 3 black and 3 color. The great day arrived. I placed the black into my machine AND my machine said it was EMPTY!!! I tried another with the same result. I tried the 3rd with the same result. I want my MONEY BACK!!
No, I do not recommend this product.

The remanufactured PG-40 ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. Unfortunately the sensor cannot be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it will print fine but the sensor will always report low ink. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Your cartridge is under full warranty for one year from the purchase date. It will print a full life cycle just like the original. Please give us a call at 888-465-7765 if you experience any issues with the print quality.

I found it! I was always doubtful about the quality and success of using the remanufactured ink cartridges in my printer. But I decided to take a chance and see if the black ink remanufactured cartridge would be as clear and pleasing as the OEM cartridge. When I saw the first sheet of a document printed using the remanufactured cartridge I was surprised and most happy--it was a beautiful, clear, printed page. No complaints whatever from me and I'll never go back to using the cartridges from the manufacturer. There's no reason to, and every reason to use the refurbished cartridges, both black and colored ink. The cost is MUCH less expensive.

I've ordered remanufactured ink cartridges for myself and for mom for her photo printer and have never been disappointed. They are high quality and about 1/3 less than a new cartridge. I also like that every cartridge that is remanufactured is one less in a landfill! Its a little thing but we need to be green wherever we can.
